Is there any pain
either during or after treatment? |
The purpose of the treatment
is to eliminate pain caused by inflammation or infection
of the pulp tissue. Thanks to advances in anesthetic
technology, very few patients experience pain during
treatment. The patient may experience discomfort or
sensitivity to stimuli for the several days immediately
after treatment. In particular, patients suffering pain
or infection at the time of treatment are more likely
to experience post-treatment pain. This kind of discomfort
and pain can be alleviated by painkilling medication. |

How many treatments
are required? |
In most cases, treatment
is completed in two or three visits to the clinic. Where
there is no infection in the tooth, treatment may be
completed in one visit. However, in some cases, patients
may be required to visit the clinic once or twice a
year for post-operative observation. |

How can I make an
appointment? |
Although basically, a
letter of introduction is required from the patient's
regular dentist, our clinic can arrange introduction
to a dental clinic for patients with no regular dentist.
Note that appointments cannot be made over the Internet.

Is non-endodontic
treatment also available? |
I am afraid that we only
provide endodontic treatment. Since post-treatment restorative
procedures should be performed as soon as possible,
patients should make an appointment with their regular
dentist at the earliest opportunity. We can introduce
patients to dental clinics matched to needs, but only
for patients without a regular dentist. |

Is there any need
for concern over X-ray dosages? |
We use digital X-rays
at our clinic. Digital X-ray dosage is approximately
80% lower than that of conventional X-rays. |

Do you take adequate
measures to prevent infection? |
Cross-infection prevention
measures implemented by our clinic include autoclave
sterilization of instruments and use of disposable instruments
and materials. |

What is a surgical
operating microscope? |
A surgical
operating microscope is an instrument used for
procedures requiring a high degree of precision
and technology in fields such as ophthalmology
and brain and heart surgery and has begun to be
used in the field of dentistry for endodontic
treatment. We believe that treatment using a surgical
operating microscope should preferably be undertaken
by a technician who has undergone training provided
by a specialized body. |
